Manual installation of the SQL Server

1. Use the Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista) to remove all SQL Server 2005 related items.
2. Insert the HORTICOPIA Professional software disk in your CD drive
3. If the installation software starts, exit it by selecting "Decline" on the License Agreement and clicking on OK
4. From the Start menu select Run…, and enter
   D:\Software\SQL\Setup.exe (change D: as needed for your CD drive)
5. Follow all of the prompts, but when prompted for the Instance name, do not accept the default of SQLExpress.  Instead, enter HORTPROSQL. 
   
   
   
   
6. Proceed with the installation.  It may take as long as 15 minutes to complete.
   

Be sure to note any error messages.
