Running HORTICOPIA® Professional version IV with Windows Vista or Windows 7


If you have Windows® Vista or Windows 7, then the first time you run HORTICOPIA® Professional you must run it as an Administrator. To do so, right-click on the HORTICOPIA® Professional icon and select "Run as Administrator".

If you have a Hardware Key for carrying your license or for Garden Studio®, you may need to do the following steps if your computer does not recognize the key. Or if you have Version IV, just get the latest software update from our site.

  • First make sure you are logged in as an Administrator
  • Click on the Windows Start
  • Click on the Windows Control Panel
  • Click on System & Maintenance
  • Scroll down to Device Manager then click on View Hardware & Devices
  • Click on Continue
  • Find the Universal Serial Bus Controllers then click on the + (Plus Sign)
  • Right mouse click on CBUSB Ver 2.0 (the icon may be in yellow)
  • Click on Update Driver Software

HORTICOPIA® Professional Version V has been tested with all versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7, including 64 bit versions. Version IV users should upgrade to assure compatibility. Version IV may not run at all on 64 bit systems or cause error messages when running.
