Stanton Gill is the principal
regional specialist, with professor rank, for the University of
Maryland Cooperative Extension stationed at the Central Maryland
Research and Education Center in Ellicott City, MD.
Stanton is also an adjunct professor with Montgomery College,
where he teaches Integrated Pest Management (IMP) for greenhouse and
nursery management classes. Stanton has been a speaker at 9 international conferences and at over 145
national conferences for the professional horticulture trade.
Stanton leads the IMP team that works
with the herbaceous perennial plant industry in Maryland. Stanton has
first hand familiarity with proper identification through the IPM
program that is run in
Maryland. He conducts
field research on biological control of
herbaceous perennial plant pests. Stanton is also co-author of the
Ball Publishing book " Pests and Diseases of Herbaceous
Perennials - The Biological Approach, published in 1999 and
"Identification Guide to Greenhouse Pests and Beneficials”, published in 1998. |
